Dave Valdez is the chief operating officer at Alaska Wealth Advisors, where he manages all aspects of the firm’s operations. This includes financial planning, investments, client service, advisor development and recruitment, compliance, and technology. Valdez holds several professional designations, such as Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®), Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®), Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®), and Certified Wealth Strategist® (CWS®). He is registered with FINRA and holds Series 7, Series 9, Series 10, Series 31, and Series 66 licenses.

In addition to his role at Alaska Wealth Advisors, Valdez serves as the State Deputy Inspector General at Joint Force Headquarters on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. His unique combination of military leadership and financial expertise makes him exceptionally qualified to help investors with their financial wellness.

Valdez earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in finance from Seattle University’s Albers School of Business and Economics and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in finance from the University of Alaska Anchorage. Before joining Alaska Wealth Advisors, he held leadership positions at Charles Schwab and TD Ameritrade, where he provided strategic consulting to hedge funds and registered investment advisors in the Pacific Northwest.

Outside of his professional life, Valdez is an avid Manchester United fan. He enjoys running, skiing, and hiking in the Chugach National Forest with his wife, Amanda, and their two sons, Hudson and Maverick.
