Elizabeth Gray, EdD, leads with vision and passion as the vice president of the Institute for Learning Innovation at The American College of Financial Services. Gray ensures several diverse functions work together seamlessly by overseeing an extensive portfolio that includes the College’s Centers of Excellence, Project Management Office, Office of College Research, Career Services, and non-credit consumer learning experiences. Her leadership harnesses innovative processes and cutting-edge learning design to foster learner engagement and success while promoting activities that contribute to society.  

With nearly two decades of experience in higher education, Gray specializes in adult learners in online learning environments. She excels in mentoring online faculty and creating an educational atmosphere that champions learner autonomy and engagement. Her dedication to lifelong learning is further enriched by her certification as a professional coach, with which she aims to inspire transformative learning experiences that ignite passion for continuous education.  

As a certified artificial intelligence (AI) specialist, Gray integrates advanced technologies into her innovative approach to learning and development at the Institute for Learning Innovation. Her academic journey is distinguished, holding Bachelor’s degrees in history and political science from Randolph-Macon Women’s College and Master’s degrees in the same fields from American Public University. In December 2023, she earned her doctorate from the American College of Education. Her dissertation focused on the intersection of leadership and knowledge sharing in remote work teams.  

Residing in northern Virginia, Gray balances her professional life with her role as a mother to two teenage sons.
