Client satisfaction is at the heart of success in financial services – and creating more powerful and lasting client relationships involves putting them at the core of the planning process.
In this episode of our Shares podcast, Lindsey Lewis, MBA, CFP®, ChFC® speaks with Padric H.B. Scott, AEP®, CFP®, ChFC®, CLU®, WMCP®, CCFC, CAP®, MSFP, founder and CEO of Crossroads Capital Partners and a member of The College’s FinServe Network and NextGen Advisory Task Force, about his philosophy of coordinated planning. They discuss Scott’s background in the NFL and transition to financial services, as well how he has adapted the strategies of a winning football team to a new approach toward managing client relationships.
Padric H.B. Scott, AEP®, CFP®, ChFC®, CLU®, WMCP®, CCFC, CAP®, MSFP began his collegiate career at Stanford University, where he then transferred home and graduated early from Florida A&M University with a bachelor’s in molecular cell biology in 2012. He then began his master’s at FAMU until he stopped to accept a contract to play in the NFL for the Arizona Cardinals upon the end of his college playing career. His professional football career spanned five years, with stops in the Arena Football League and the Canadian Football League. During his tenure as a professional athlete, he developed a lifelong passion for wealth management, having seen the disparities of knowledge that exist at high levels of diverse earnings and wealth. Today, Scott serves as both CEO and founder of Crossroad Capital Partners, a full-service equity and estate planning practice founded in 2018 that serves as an umbrella organization for his consulting engagements, partnered with Northwestern Mutual. He is also one of the fastest in Northwestern Mutual history to obtain the financial planning trio of CFP® certification, Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®), and Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®), and is a spokesperson for the Wealth Management Certified Professional® (WMCP®) designation with The American College of Financial Services.
