David Stoeffel

Senior Vice President, Business Development

David Stoeffel, ChFC®, CLU® is the senior vice president of business development at The American College of Financial Services. Before coming to The College in August 2019, he was president and CEO of Northwestern Mutual Investment Services, LLC in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, providing various products and services. He also served as the vice president of annuity and investment products and vice president of national sales during his 12 years with Northwestern Mutual. Before joining Northwestern Mutual, Stoeffel held senior roles at several other major investment management, advisory, and brokerage firms.

Stoeffel is a trustee and graduate of the Securities Industry Institute Executive Leadership Program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington and Lee University and holds The College’s Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) and Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) designations.

Stoeffel resides with his wife in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and has two adult children. He is a history buff and enjoys visiting historical sites as well as taking hiking trips with his wife. He is an avid reader, a decent golfer, and a rookie tennis player.
