Centario Grier
FinServe Network Ambassador
Centario Grier and his wonderful wife, Nardette, live in North Charlotte with their three children (Noelle, Casen and Cairo). As a co-founder of J & G Legacy Financial Group LLC, he sincerely believes that most people want to do what's right: right for themselves, right for their families, and right for their communities. In fact, that's one of the reasons Grier began his career in the financial services industry back in 2010. As a recent college graduate, he wanted the opportunity to work somewhere that made it easy for other people to do what was right, and more importantly, made it easy for him to do right by them.
Grier has been a proud resident of the Charlotte community his entire life, and therefore has a vested interest in seeing his friends and neighbors succeed. Depending on their needs, Grier helps his clients neutralize a variety of risk to their lifestyle and overall financial well-being; and prepare for major financial events such as paying for college, saving for retirement, or caring for an aging relative. He prides himself on providing holistic, impartial advice that centers around his clients' goals and objectives. In addition to his thirteen years of experience, Grier holds a bachelors in business management from Western Carolina University.
Prior to becoming associated with MassMutual Carolinas, Grier participated in New York Life's well-known training program, NYLIC University, and in 2018 was awarded Charlotte's Top 30 Under 30. Grier has also been a New York Life Premiere Executive Council agent (2014, 2016, 2017, 2018), and a part of the New York Life Executive Council (2012-2013, 2015), as well as enjoying MDRT membership (2017, 2018). Additionally, Grier is an investment advisor representative with MML Investor Services, LLC having passed his FINRA Series 6, 63 and 65 securities exams.
He is on the Advisory Board for The College’s Financial Services Certified Professional® (FSCP®) designation and its relaunching and a Board member of BreatheINK, a non-profit focused on helping minority youth develop their artistic ability as it relates to poetry.
